This book is a reprint of Journal of Cannabis Therapeutics, Volume 3, Numbers 3 and 4 2003.It is mostly aimed at making widely available the results of the careful clinical trials of cannabinoid sprays(ie, solutions for spraying in the nose or mouth, not smoke or tablets) in humans done by GW Pharmaceuticals in the UK as a necessary preliminary to putting their groundbreaking products on the market. Russos three excellent articles at the beginning and end provide a contrast to the three very dry but necessary and precise clinical articles.It is certain that there must be many disease states associated with the endogenous cannabinoids. Russo and GW are the first to to controlled clinical experiments on solutions of cannabidiol and THC together. As I pointed out in my own book on marijuana chemistry 30 years ago, this is critical as CBD is always present in natural marijuana and it modulates the effects of THC. Other researchers have never used them separate or together in a spray form. This is critical as both smoke and pill forms are nearly impossible to control and titrate and this has been a major barrier to medical use. In this way , GW Pharmaceuticals hopes to make a major impact on the medical use of cannabinoids and have entered them into the drug licensing process in many countries as treatments for multiple sclerosis and other problems.An enormous amount of research is in process on synthetic, marijuana derived and endogenous cannabinoids. This is primarily due to the discovery of the endogenous anandamides and their receptors. There are thousands of compounds that can stimulate and inhibit the activity of CB1 and CB2 receptors and the list of potential therapeutic actions is nearly coextensive with human physiology, behavior and disease. GW has greatly stimulated this field by developing advanced oral applicators which can carefully monitor the dosing and even send the data wirelessly to a central data collection point in a hospital or over the net.Because of their wide range of actions and extremely low toxicity, it is likely that there will be numerous applications for cannabinoids including many in pediatrics and pregnancy. Of course all this is arriving to the great chagrin of the US and other governments who have long insisted that the cannabinoids were dangerous drugs with no medical use. This is a helpful book when it comes to the topic of Excel VBA.This book is loaded with helpful information, tips and guides that I need to know about how to learn and master excel VBA programming. Hein Smith is a fantastic author on this topic.I really enjoyed the parts of the book. Very informative, detailed and well written.Overall, it was a helpful read.

As a total rookie when it comes to programming, this book was easy to follow. My only complaint is the Author seems to put forth less effort as the material gets harder to grasp. In the beginning he really breaks it down to a science and walks you through every step of the process and explaining what is happening along the way. The first time that you are required to participate and create something on your own spreadsheet, he even asks you how how you'd go about making the font italic so you could actually start doing and learning. I don't think that happens again during the rest of the book. The beginning was very well written and I feel that if he would have taken as much time explaining how an array works as he did for a macro, I would have enjoyed it and learned so much more.

The content of this book was so good and easy to understand. I read this book and i will get this book so much helpful. I will highly recommended this book.

Walks you through VBA at a steady, challenging pace. Lessons and chapters build upon each other, which is very helpful. VBA is not something you can just intuitively learn like you do with an Excel spreadsheet. This book does a great job showing the power of VBA and building skill upon skill.

Gives a good background story about the ribbon schemes Microsoft uses and how confusing it is to use for new folks. He has written the same book a couple times but this version is closer to what I was needing. He includes a lot of sample code which is how I learn anything anyway.

I have been an avid fan of Bob Hannah since I was a flagman at the first Southwick, MA national motocross in 1976. I had read about his debute in the Florida Winter series and read the coverage of his upset victory in the 125 national round at Hangtown. Being on the track and seeing him in action even though he did not win showed me a level of determination and courage I had never see in the 3 years I had worked at Southwick and saw top New England experts in action including Jimmy Ellis prior to actively racing the national. Bob would be one of a few select that even to this day I would stand in line for hours for an autograph from.The book was everything I expected and more. The input from friends, his mechanics, the photos of Bob in action over a 13 year career made for informative and entertaining reading.

awesome book on BOB HANNA, if your a fan you won't be diapointed

This book is a must have for any motocross fan. Its an exceptional value with great photography and an inside view from a friend of Bob Hannah"s. I recommend this to all motorcycle enthusiast's. Great job Tom Madigan!

Bob Hannah is one of the most famous motocross racers in the world, he beat the europeans at their own game (Roger DeCoster to be more specific) when no other Americans could, and got the ball rolling for the American dominance that we still enjoy to this day. Very outspoken and a tough as nails competitor with a hang on till the end style, he would do whatever it took to win. This book follows him from childhood riding the deserts, all the way to his plane business and beyond, if you're even the slightest motocross fan, you'll want to check this book out, the photograghs are awsome, and I like the way it is written. Very informative, and if you lived through those Golden years of MX, this has a lot of nostalgia also.
