I always use Schirmer for my sheet music. I got this book to replace my very old copy that was finally falling apart. Every singer should master these classic arias!

Has all the songs that any classically trained singer needs and all the songs needed to become a classical singer. I have used this book for years and it created the singer.

Ridiculously faded, poor quality printing; as if printed from a printer that was low on toner.

I had read "Not much of an engineer" some time ago and when my wife presented me with the first book of RR "The magic of a name" I was fascinated. Obviously, I then HAD to have book two and the fascination continues - a wonderful story.The physical book is in great condition - impossible to tell from brand new and I would have no reservations about buying from the seller again.

Volume 1 was an excellent read and kept me wanting more. Volume II was superb, with a horror ending! So of course, Volume III is now sharing the shelf. If you want to hear the insights, the story, the people behind the engines, then these volumes simply have no equal. This volume III is perhaps a little drier than the earlier volumes, perhaps not quite as captivating, but still a cracker of a read about a fascinating company and its rebirth. Get all three as they really are a well written and cohesive set.

The book was delivered on time and was as new. The book itself was a great story, following on from volumes one & two. For me, totally fascinating and was as expected - with a name like Rolls-Royce. I was sorry to reach the end.

For those more interested in the cars, there's a lot about aircraft engines that is interesting, but not related. The research seems through throughout, and well illustrated, so worth having regardless.

What a great read. Of the three volumes, I find this one the most interesting. It covers the whole era from Whittle and Hooker to the appalling bankruptcy and rebirth. Covers the aero engines, the cars, diesels, nuclear, the lot. All three volumes are immensely interesting. If you have volume one, you'd better get this one also.

If you are not already familiar with the company, the many details in the book can be overwhelming. A bit slow going.

Very nice book on RR, if you are not already familiar with the Company, you may get lost in all the details.

Look, this is a fine book, but I was led to believe it was about the cars; it is a history of the airplane engines...nothing wrong with that but of limited interest to most.

But if vaccines don’t even do what they’re supposed to do we are really confounded and faced with a very disorienting dilemma. We thought we knew! We thought we had the answer!I am reminded of the story of a guy named Ignaz Philipp Semmelweis, a Hungarian physician, who introduced the notion of hand-washing in obstetric clinics, in Germany in the 1840’s. He proved that doing so diminished the rates of maternal death by puerperal infection significantly (maternal death was high in hospitals then when physicians went from dissecting cadavers to delivering babies without washing their hands in between). This was before germ theory was understood, but he had proof that the rates of infection and mortality were significantly reduced if doctors simply washed their hands with chlorinated lime solutions before attending births. Despite various publications of his results, where hand washing reduced mortality to below 1%, Semmelweis's observations conflicted with the established scientific and medical opinions of the time and his ideas were rejected by the medical community. When a paradigm is shifting and we don’t have all the new understanding we need, AND when powerful interests are involved (whether these be pride, smug arrogance, or big money), making changes is difficult. Ironically, we do know a little more about germ theory these days, but it turns out vaccinating people may not be the best way to prevent disease. Au contraire, it seems to be contributing to a new epidemic of chronic and debilitating auto-immune diseases.Vaccines, A Reappraisal was written by a rigorous physician who has stood up to “business as usual” many times in his career, when he’s seen something dangerous, wrong, or immoral, as well as when the “science of the day” is not matching up to actual results. The evidence he presents in this book more than raises concerns about the safety and efficacy of vaccinating people. His suggestions for “moving forward” given current policy are reasonable and thoughtful. One such recommendation (recently implemented in Sweden) is that “all routine vaccinations for children and adults alike be made optional.” His years of careful observation, concern, research, intelligence, compassion and pragmatism are obvious in this book, which I hope will be read and studied by every family physician, pediatrician and parent as they sort out the difficult decisions surrounding one of our society’s most treasured beliefs in modern medicine. In spite of very large and overwhelming issues, he seems dauntless in upholding his place to inform and inspire us to healthy “seeing” in this quagmire of difficult information. He gives us the science by which vaccines are held to a certain standard of truth. He gives us a glimpse into the complexity of human health, even intimating that we might be more than “science.” He clearly has respect for people, their experiences and choices, and he strives to help them live into their own fullness. The penultimate sentence of his book moves me and gives us a sense of the light from which the book is written. Dr. Moskowitz honors “giving full attention to the actual lived experience of [his] patients; recognizing the elements of health and well-being that lie hidden in or [are] inaccessible to them; and offering the relevant science and most suitable medicine to assist and enhance their own innate self-healing capacity.” In short, he cares from a scientific and a moral base that hold human health care to a much higher standard, which makes the vaccine issue worth our very serious contemplation.

Vaccines – A Reappraisal (Skyhorse 2017) is a seminal, earth-shaking work that should be read by every practicing primary care physician and by every parent or parent-to-be of a child. Although I do not agree with every interpretation or proposed solution to the serious questions Dr. Moskowitz raises about vaccines and current policies about them in the United States, the experience represented (50 years of practice) and the research reviewed are a treasure tome worthy of serious consideration. More importantly, questions raised by the author deserve some answers.I speak from the perspective of being a board certified pediatrician having been in private practice for 31 years and 11 more years as a faculty member of a major medical center teaching pediatric residents in a community teaching program. In 2013 I retired from pediatric primary care to go into practice as an integrative medicine physician and in 2016 achieved a new board certification in integrative pediatrics. Parents often inquire about vaccines, and I will recommend this book for those who have serious questions, along with The Vaccine Friendly Plan (Ballantine Books 2016) by pediatrician Dr. Paul Thomas and Ph.D. Jennifer Margulis.From years of studying both sides of the hot-bed issue that vaccines represent in contemporary society and 31 years in pediatric practice, much of what Dr. Moskovitz describes I was already familiar with. He rightly calls out prevailing practices in the area of informed consent concerning vaccines and many ways in which this long held principle has been sacrificed to what is in essence political correctness about vaccine safety and effectiveness. Simply to raise questions about vaccine safety or of vaccine effectiveness have become “toxic” to the point of subjecting any who dare to question being subjected to various forms of rebuke or outright censure. The prevailing notion that vaccines are, without qualification, “safe and effective” is belied by the available scientific evidence. This is not to be construed that I am “anti-vaccine” as so often is applied to anyone who raises questions. I am among a growing number of experienced and well-read physicians who believe informed consent concerning vaccines and unresolved issues of vaccine safety and effectiveness deserve an open, respectful dialogue. Much of public contemporary debate is polarized, disrespectful, and in too many cases, uninformed.I would like to challenge in a collegial tone my fellow physicians who deal with vaccines to consider the remarkable material in this book and to be open to a rational process of digging beneath the oversimplified veneer of vaccine safety and effectiveness that dominates our profession. And why is it such a surprise? Because I detest nanny/wealthy employer story arcs. It's one of my least favorite tropes, so I can't believe I'm saying this, but I really enjoyed The Man In The Mirror. A few months ago, Le Carre released Nanny and The Beast which I quickly dismissed it as not my cup of tea, simply because of my preconceived judgments of all nanny/employer plot device constructs. But even after weeks had passed, I found myself still thinking about the book and doubting my decision. A few days ago, Le Carre released a second nanny/wealthy employer book, The Man In The Mirror, featuring one of the secondary characters from Nanny and The Beast, and once again I found myself intrigued, tempted and torn. Now I should insert here that I became a Le Carre fan 5 years ago after reading The Billionaire Banker Series and generally purchase all her new releases, but I didn't want to spend my hard earned money on books I felt sure I wouldn't enjoy. But for some inexplicable reason, I couldn't stop thinking about either book, so I decided to place my trust in Le Carre as an author and purchased both. Best decision ever! Neither of the books was the same tired, old, clichéd stereotype I thought them to be - they were so much more than I could have ever imagined! Never have I been happier to admit my misconception. I fell in love with the mysterious Yuri and kindhearted April in Nanny and The Beast, and I simply adored the tortured Brett and spirited Charlotte in The Man In The Mirror. Le Carre's sensual prose, skillful plot progression, superb character development, and easy-to-follow first-person narrative with clearly defined his and her perspectives captured my undivided attention and held me prisoner, completely spellbound and enthralled, from the first page till the last.So, did I like Nanny and The Beast and The Man In The Mirror? Yes, very much! Georgia Le Carre, you accomplished the impossible, something no author has been able to do in the last 65 years - you completely changed my opinion of nanny/wealthy employer romance tropes! I'm almost 70 years young and it takes a whole heck of a lot to change my mind about something, but you did! I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks after all! lol... Will I read this author again? Absolutely! Would I recommend this book? You bet! Actually, I recommend both books but only for adult readers since each contains tortured, dark heroes, sassy heroines, explicit language, and graphic sex (dreamy love scenes). And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and awesome reads!

The book had 3018 locations on my kindle. The book was about a man, named Brett and a woman, named Charlotte. Brett was a wealthy disfigured father and husband. Charlotte was a nanny, who couldn't keep a job because of jealous wives. The book contained a drunken oral sex scene about half way thru and some decent sex more than half way thru. I did not like either character. Charlotte was a caring woman, but she barely hears Brett's voice on the intercom, she is instantly fantasizing and besotted with a man, she had never even met. There are other things, I won't mention, that bothered me. Brett was scarred and lonely man, who isolated himself from the world. The character made me mad, because he allowed his cold, vindictive and cheating wife, to continue to harass the entire household. Overall this was just ok for me.

Charlotte is hired to be the Nanny for a frail boy, Zachery. Having a controlling Mother and an a Father, Brett King, who she has never seen. She is given eight pages of instructions on his care. The boy has a regimented routine and lists of allowed foods and activities. She is informed to never see or involve his father that every question is to be brought to his Mother. One day she figures out his Father has been disfigured in an accident and doesn't care to spend time with him or her son. She would prefer to keep him in her control, not allowing Staff to bother Mr. King with concerns for his son. Charlotte begins to realize the billionaire father, has been kept from his son by mom's deception and poisoning of Zachery against him calling Brett a Monster because of his scars. Since a disastrous encounter Brett is afraid to see Zachary, knowing his son fears him so strongly. She begins to unravel the mysteries in this household, but will she be able to reconcile the father and son before her employer destroys her chances?

Brett and Charlotte meet when she is hired by his wife to be the nanny for his introverted 5 year old son. His wife is difficult to say the least and a cheat.Brett had an accident that his disfigured his face. He a recluse but sweet. Sometimes it was a struggle to like Brett. Other times he was adorable.His wife and Charlotte of course conflict. They mostly disagree over his 5 year old son. His wife is cruel, manipulative and evil toward the child. Telling lies about his father. His parents are in a loveless marriage.Eventually Brett realizes he wants Charlotte and she wants him. With Brett and his wife being basically roommates things happen that shouldn’t, but you quickly forgive that because of how horrible his wife is as a wife and mother.Eventually tragedy happens and circumstances allow for Charlotte and Brett to be together.There’s a HEA.Pros:Well writtenBrett is sexyCharlotte is sweet and caringZachary is adorableAngstSexy characterCons:Brett was angering with being so distant with Zachary at timesCheating

Charlotte takes a job as a nanny in a castle in Whales to look after Zackery.He is a scared little boy,who seems afraid of his mother.Brett is the father who stays secluded in separate wing of the castle because his face is disfigured from car accident and wears a mask.He communicated with Charlotte by intercom system until they met face to face by accident.The sparks and attraction were instant.His marriage isn't real,he only married her because her father was like a father to him and it was his dying wish for Brett to marry his daughter Jillian.Charlotte brings Zachary and Brett out of the dark and into the light.They find their road to happiness.
