I have a background in collision repair and I have restored a few muscle cars in the past. I also have an appreciation for American Motors vehicles having owned a number of Javelins and an AMX. Given my history, I found this book to be an excellent read. In fact, I am planning on purchasing another project vehicle soon (yes, most likely a Javelin or AMX) and the information found in this book will be very helpful. Even if you are not one who would be able to restore a car on your own, but are looking to buy a project car and have someone else restore it for you, this book will be a source of great information on what you can expect as the restoration shop performs various operations on your car. Campbell's book can even be of value to if you do not own an AMC vehicle but are looking for general information concerning automotive restorations because much of the information in this book can be applied to other vehicles undergoing restorations as well. For example: Campbell's common sense tips for organizing a car restoration are invaluable. Yes, as an AMC enthusiast I may be biased, and Campbell's book may be specifically written for a small but select audience of AMC fans, but, hey, this is an excellent book regardless.
